Change blog page layout

Hi. Is there any way that I can change the layout view on the blog post page so that they content is viewable without clicking through? I like the photo post template appearing on the landing page but if someone clicks “blog” in the navigation I would like it to be more of a running page of posts and content such as that of a traditional blog. Thanks so much.
