• Hi Mikko,

Great plugin! I’m using it for my site in addition to Yith Ajax Search, which offers predictive search (or live suggestions).

Problem is, Yith Ajax Search seems to be accessing a different set of terms, which is smaller than the actual set of terms indexed by Relevanssi.

So a user often sees ‘No results found’ in the search box when typing, but if they actually hit enter, there will be several results. An example would be a custom product taxonomy – indexed by Relevanssi but unknown to Yith Ajax Search.

As a result, I’ve been forced to deactivate Yith Ajax Search since it ended up being misleading.

Is there any way to fix this? Ie make Yith Ajax Search access the same set of terms indexed by Relevanssi?

    Thanks,
    Sohel

It would require editing Yith Ajax Search to use Relevanssi to power the search. That’s possible, as Relevanssi offers direct access to the query engine by the use of relevanssi_do_query() function, but that’s something the developers of Yith Ajax Search must do.

    Thanks, Mikko.

I found this plugin, which allows me to do both:
    1. Index product attributes & custom taxonomies
    2. Offer live/Ajax search

Results are also displayed nicely – eg if I search ‘blue’ it has different sections for blue color attribute, and products with blue keyword. So I will be using this instead of Yith Ajax Search + Relevanssi.

Relevanssi does appear to be ‘lighter’ so I may revert if there is built in live/Ajax search in the future.
