    Hi.

    I have a website (jamiebakercopywriter.com) which I can’t login to at jamiebakercopywriter.com/admin.

I really need to login as my card details have expired and I need to enter the new ones before my domain expires.

Because I don’t login to the site very often, I have no idea what the login details are (the usual combinations aren’t working), and when I try to retrieve/reset my password, it’s saying it doesn’t recognise any email address I enter.

One other issue with this which may be affecting it: I may have used an old gmail email to login before, the account of which has since been deleted.

    I’m a mess, I know.

    Any help is much appreciated.

That would be done at the c-panel or what ever your host uses for an interface.

You are using WP 3.6 so you need to upgrade as soon as possible.

You can change your password in the database that is at the site of your host.

I’m having the same problem. Where on my cpanel do I access my dashboard?

    Hi

I did all that fine but it now seems my website is broken.

When I try to visit it it’s showing a HTTP 500 internal server error.

I’m pretty sure I went through all the steps correctly.

You access the dashboard with https://www.yourwebsite.com/wp-admin

But why is it saying my website is now down with an internal error?

    When I visit /wp-admin it’s saying:

    Error establishing a database connection

This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at 10.168.1.56. This could mean your host’s database server is down.
?Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
?Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
?Are you sure that the database server is running?

If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.

Not to worry – worked it out.

Thank you very much for your great help. Much appreciated.
