• Hi guys, I’m new over here and my english is barely good so I’ll try to explain whats the issue.

I’m setting up a client’s website using GoDaddy as hosting provider. His domain was in another provider (dominioweb.org) and I already transfered to GoDaddy, I’ve changed the DNS servers, wait for the time to refresh the server and everything’s up and running, now the problem is that is taking too long to load the site and is not even built yet, it just a simple template, no content or img has been added, even the navigation in the dashboard is painfull.

My guess is I need to set something up on my hosting configuration because I’ve worked with many other sites using GoDaddy as a provider and this the first time I have this problem.

    Here is the link https://www.elediumgroup.com

Please notice how long it takes to load.

If anyone can help me out here I will really appreciate

    Thanks,

    Leo

  • Sometimes using a shared hosting space can do this. This is the default for most hosting companies. The site didn’t take that long to load for me.

    Hey thanks for the reply,

The thing is, everything is hosted now by GoDaddy, and it seems that the loading time it comes and goes but most of the time is really slow, I test my internet connection and it′s not the problem, I even try working in two wordpress sites at the same time and this one gets stuck at some points, the other one works perfect.

Did you ask about having a dedicated IP address for your site?

I tried “ping www.elediumgroup.com” at the command prompt and get 171ms. My own cheap shared hosting gives 23ms, so you have slow hosting. However, ping time will vary by place and time.

    This site:
    https://reverseip.domaintools.com/
tells us there are 910 sites sharing your webserver. Quite a large number competing for resources on one machine.

Ask your host for a faster webserver. They may have one for their more discerning customers. Otherwise look for another host.

I don’t think a dedicated IP address on its own would make the site faster. The site would still be on shared hosting.
