Content boxes disappeared with new version 3.1.6

I followed the advice from Laura Lee to customize the content boxes,and my content boxes looked and worked great!

at least until now ??

I downloaded the new version 3.1.6 and a fourth content box appeared in my home page. So I use the same code I had in the other three boxes, which as I said had worked perfectly in the former version, and now ALL four boxes disappeared from the home page

Please help! the content boxes were very important for my site
