• For over two weeks now, I was getting randomly getting the 503 error, on and off. I called my host and they said I have too many system processes running, which shouldn’t be happening. It’s probably caused by a plug-in. So, I was told to turn of each plug-in individually, and try to figure out what’s causing the issue. Before I did all that, I decided to update all the plug-ins that had updates available. While doing so, I guess I also updated to WP 4.1.1. And now, I can’t get any of my quick edit buttons – add media, insert link, etc – to work.

Another separate issue, before all this happened, when I inserted links, it put my blog url in front of each link, for some reason. And so, when someone clicked on the hyperlink, they’d get an error.

There are a couple different things going on, and I would appreciate any and all help!

    My website is https://www.stilettosandsequins.com.

    Thank you,

    Dhruvi

For the first issue, try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fifteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

Another separate issue, before all this happened, when I inserted links, it put my blog url in front of each link, for some reason.

Make sure you’re including the https:// at the beginning of the URLs. Without it, browsers will think the link is simply relative to your site’s URL.

    Perfect, thank you, James!

    I’ll try that!
