custom background color

Depends where it is stored usually something like

body {
   background:mycolor;
}
or
html {
   background:mycolor;
}
or html, body  {
   background:mycolor;
}

Where do I find this code at? Sorry i’m new to web design

You should use

background:mycolor!important;
}

It will be in your style.css

I don’t suggest you change it directly. It would be smart to use a child theme

I don’t quite understand how to set a child theme up
