Expiring too soon

The plug in seems to be behaving in an odd way. I noticed that posts were expiring as soon as the clock says the date – which for me is to soon – I need to to expire at the end of the date. However when I change the date to the day after (in the hope that the post will expire as it has been doing) but this doesn’t happen – my post is still on there.
e.g – expire on 23/03/15 in some instances as soon as it is 23/03/15 00:01 it removes the post. If I then set the expiry date to 24/03/15 it will be there all day on the 24th.
Is this a fixable thing?
