Homepage Header Bar issues

Hi SmartCat- first of all, let me just say, I really like the theme.

The recent theme update seems to have broken part of my static homepage- namely the headerbar. As you can see here (www.sam-lee.org) it falls underneath the slider and is missing the signature black bar unlike the rest of the pages. How can I resolve this issue?

On a slightly unrelated note, I wish people would stop trying to take off your link at the bottom.
