featured images not showing

Hi there,

I know people have posted about this before but previous solutions not working. The featured images for posts are showing in carousel but not once you click on the article…

I have created a child theme to re-adjust single.php file as suggested in previous thread but there is no code that says:

the_post_thumbnail();
?>

Help!
