    Hello,

First of all thanks for the plugin, it was really useful for me.
I have a problem with the plugin that it can’t send mail to myself (eg: sending email with same to: and from: address).
I’ve checked in sent folder of my Gmail account, both mail was sent.
Tested it using Contact Form 7 by sending mails to 2 users (other user and myself) simultaneosly. Tried adding Cc: header but it still didn’t work.

    Please help.
    Thanks.

Let me get this straight, you send a message to yourself from the same account. Your message appears in your Gmail sent folder, but you don’t receive it in your inbox??

    (@azharpratama)

Yes. It appeared on sent folder but not on my inbox.
Tried with test mail it was sent successfully and also appeared on my inbox.

Well that’s completely bizarre. Obviously Gmail received and accepted it, and copied it to your sent folder. Do you have something configured in Gmail like a filter or action which might delete/archive the email or move email to another folder?

    Thread Starter azharpratama

    (@azharpratama)

    Yes that’s really weird.
No. I’ve checked that I did not have any filter for my emails.
Can you reproduce that using Contact Form 7?

    Plugin Author Jason Hendriks

    (@jasonhendriks)

No, not at all. It has to be a problem at Google, because not only did it receive and accept the email from you, it copied it to your Sent folder.

So we have to go through the really obvious questions, I don’t mean to offend, obviously, but we have to check everything:

    • the from address and to address are identical. no differences in periods or punctuation.
    • it’s a personal gmail account, not a google apps mailbox alias or group alias.
    • you’re sure Google didn’t think that it’s Spam and throw it in your Spam folder
    • you’re 100% sure there are no forwards or filters on the gmail app. what happens if you check the mail with Thunderbird or Apple Mail or your cellphone? Without using Gmail on the web?

    So so sorry… my bad.
After I double check everything I found out that Contact Form 7 is still using old email address for mails that sent to admin. That’s why sent mails is not appearing on my inbox.
I missed it at first since the mail address is quite similar to the new one.

Thanks for the help and sorry for the trouble.
