  • me too

I tried rolling back to prior version, but when i now try to reconnect it says my website is forbidding communication from wordpress.com.

So I have to disable the plugin for now – which in turn messes up my site appearance.

    Please fix ASAP!

I am getting a similar message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_generate_password() in /—/—-/public_html/—–/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/class.jetpack-client.php on line 54

This this is coming up when attempting to access jetpack on tour different sites after upgrading to 3.4.

Dashes indicate parts of the URL I do not want to make public.

I’m getting undefined function wp_generate_password error too. *sigh* I should know better than to update Jetpack right after they add new features.

    The same on my side

And when I tried to deactivate/re-activate, then reconnect to WordPress.com, it gave me the following error:

Invalid request, please go back and try again.
    Error Code: invalid_client
    Error Message: Unknown client_id.

Regarding the fatal errors, thank you all for the reports. We’re investigating. So far, other reports indicated simply refreshing will resolve.

If refreshing the page does not resolve, please include a comment here with what action you’ve taken.

@peoples_pundit – can you open a new thread for that issue? It’s a bit different and don’t want to cross-streams trying to resolve different issues in the same place.

    Thanks!

Same here. Three different sites broke and the update process took a couple of very long minutes.

I get the following error after the update:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class Contact_Info_Widget in /home/content/38/9811838/html/wp-content/themes/Avada/widgets/contact_info.php on line 119

A refresh did not work. I have deactivated the plugin for now.

@sarpbmo – regarding your issue, Jetpack added a contact info widget and the Avada theme adds one after JP without checking to ensure one isn’t already being loaded. We have a bug report for this at https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/issues/1813

so what is the fix for the Avada theme?? Looked at the link you posted in the above comment and don’t see what changes need to be made to fix this..

    Hello Brandon

The statistics do not seem to work. Or are out of sync. For over three hours the numbers are about the same.

    Thank U

it seemed to be the stats package for me. Was unable to access the admin, changed the name of stats.php to stats1.php and now am back in.

well, that worked for about 2 min. now am getting a 503.

    Hi sslone–

It’s very unlikely that a jetpack issue would be causing you to get a 503 error.

    Can you try:

    1) Remove stats1.php completely
    See if things are fixed
    2) Replace your copy of jetpack with the version found here:
    https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/archive/master.zip
This is our latest internal version with the fixes we are currently working on.

    Then report back?

    Thanks!
