• Hi guys,

when I had my blog still at wordpress.com, there was a widget which let people sign up for updates from the blog. So whenever I posted a new post, they would get a pre-defined e-mail. I am missing this now on www.remarpro.com.

Can you tell me if there is a workaround for that?

    Thanks a lot.

    Philipp

It looks like you have the Jetpack plugin installed and active, that’s good. ??

At Appearance -> Widgets in your blog’s Dashboard, add the “Blog Subscriptions (Jetpack)” widget to your sidebar.

If you don’t see that widget, activate the Subscriptions module at Jetpack -> Settings in your blog’s Dashboard.

    Hi james,

that’s it, thanks so much. I found it.

One more question. Is there a way to integrate this functionality of subscribing without adding another single widget? I’d like it to add to an existing text widget …. Not sure if that’s possible though …

    Cheers.

Sure, try this shortcode in a Text widget:

    [jetpack_subscription_form]

Hi James, thanks a lot..I played around with it and it works. The only thing I am not yet 100% happy with is the layout. The size of the heading for example. Is there anyway I can change that so it fits beter in my text widget with the other info like social media and the search bar? Like a customization of this shortcode or something…. I hope that makes sense hehe.

    Thanks a lot.

You can style the output via CSS, using Jetpack’s Custom CSS module.

Here’s a great guide on getting started with that: https://dailypost.wordpress.com/2013/07/25/css-selectors/
