    Hi,

since yesterday with one of our sites, we have been unable to use the insert link button in the visual editor in chrome or IE (I have tried in Firefox and it works perfectly). The issue is there on multiple computers.

When we try clicking the ‘insert/edit link’ button in chrome or IE, all that happens is the scroll bars disappear… the box doesn’t pop up to type the link in.

We run the same theme on other sites which are working and we haven’t uploaded any new plugins in the last couple of days.

Has anyone experienced this problem before and/or does anyone know what the issue is?

    Many Thanks,
    Adam

Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fifteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    Thanks!

The Max Buttons plugin was causing the problem?
