Problems searching events, toggling between views

    We are using Events Calendar Pro. Our site is still in Beta on a local host, but we are having a couple of problems:

    1. When we are looking at the Month view, the “View As” option at the top provides “Month” as the option, and when in List view it provides “List” as the option. If the intention is to provide people with the ability to toggle between them, then when on the Month view “View As” should have “List” under it as the option, etc.
    2. Using the event search at the top (not the filter), a date can be chosen and the results are updated, but when a term is typed into the “Search” box or the “Location” box, the home page of our site is loaded.

    Are there any fixes we can apply for these problems?

  • Hi there, @noplibrary! Thanks for getting in touch and sorry these issues are popping up.

    When we are looking at the Month view, the “View As” option at the top provides “Month” as the option, and when in List view it provides “List” as the option.

    That’s certainly odd! By default, you should see the currently selected option in the “View As” menu, but clicking that should also reveal the option to toggle to the other view. Is it possible you have not enabled both views in Events > Settings > Display? I’d suggest checking there.

    Oh man, that’s not good! We definitely don’t expect that to happen when searching terms. Have you made any customizations to your search template? Or do you have any other plugins installed that modify how search behaves on your site?

    I’d also suggest running through these Testing For Conflicts steps to see if there is something else at play.
