"pretty" permalinks- content is of website disappears

    Hi,

    I’m not very experienced in using WordPress…My website pages are set with ugly permalinks and when I try to change them into the “pretty/friendly” ones the content of subpages disappears altogether….what do I do wrong?

    Is there a plug in that could fix it? what should i do?

    Hi,

    I’ve set the links to “ugly” ones now so all the pages are ok and display correct content.
    It’s when I change permalinks settings to “pretty” when web pages content disappears…

    There’s a section about the .htaccess file.

    It sounds like WordPress isn’t able to write to the .htaccess file which is needed for pretty permalinks to work.
