Database differences between 2.1 and Wp 2.2

  • Please assist,

    Does anybody know what are the major database (fields) differences (enhancements) when updgrading from WP2.1 to WP2.2.

    How many new fields.

  • I really don’t think there was any field differences.

    They just added the character set collation statements if I remember correctly.

    By the way, you can confirm that by using something like Beyond Compare to compare the two versions of wp-admin/upgrade-schema.php.

    Would anybody know why UTF-8 characters get corrupted.

    When creating a backup , prior to upgrading from WP 2.1 to WP 2.2
