Just adding a few more details here:

The broken Photon images, like https://i2.wp.com/www.filipinoscribe.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/emilio-aguinaldo-11.jpg all report “We cannot complete this request, remote data could not be fetched.”

Considering that the Jetpack debugger also reports “An unknown error has occurred,” I’m assuming that something changed after March 8 (the date of the last working post) to prevent Jetpack from being able to access the site.

Unfortunately, the Jetpack debugger is not being specific enough for me to make many guesses past that point.

Disabling Photon, of course, fixes the symptom.

@markpere2010 did you make any security-related changes or setup a caching system on or after March 8?

Hey, James. Thanks for the help.

I don’t remember making any changes to my site the past few days. I have very little technical knowledge on website handling so I just click “update” the plugins when prompted. Anyhow, I guess I have to wait until the 16th to get an official response from JetPack.

Just a few more days, but sometimes they check in earlier. ??

If you can think of anything you changed on or after March 8, it will definitely help them.

hi markpere2010 , Sr James. I had the same problem and it drove me crazy, all that headache was caused by Photon, I’ve disabled it and everything was resolved. Thanks markpere2010 for posting and thank you Mr Huff for your assistance. have both a nice day

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

@markpere2010 Jetpack now seems to be properly connected to your WordPress.com account, and I don’t notice any issues when trying to access some of your post images via Photon.

I do, however, notice that some of your images sometimes take more than 7 seconds to load. It’s worth noting that if Photon cannot download an image in less than 10 seconds, it gives up and returns a broken image and the error James mentioned earlier.

I’d suggest enabling Photon again and if you see some issues with specific images, check to make sure they’re not too large. The larger the image, the longer it will take to download, for Photon and for your readers.

Let me know how that goes.
