.htaccess: Option MultiViews not allowed by hoster. Alternatives?

Hello,
The plugin works fine, except combining CSS files as the Option MultiViews is not allowed. Is there therefore an alternative to the following first line:
# BEGIN W3TC Minify cache
Options -MultiViewsHope so!
