    So far I really like your plug in and all it has to offer. I especially, like I can put an individual page in maintenance mode while the rest of my site is visible.

    However, I am having 2 issues though;

    1. I cannot upload a background or logo image. I have tried to upload from Media library, url and computer file. Nothing happens except a white pop up box that gets stuck shows up. I found a reply to the same issue and followed the instructions with the code in Css but it does not work. Please, help.

    2. With the Mail Chimp form, I embed the code Mail Chimp has given me but on the page it shows a bunch of white line boxes with Name=, etc. inside, plus there is another white line box that is empty. I ended up deleting the code and placing my email address in one of the lines your plugin provided that says “We will be back soon”.

    How can I fix these 2 issues? Thank you for your help.

    Also, just tested this. I cannot change the font color, either. In the dashboard it is changed but not on the page.

    1. After you select the image you want to upload, click on “Insert Into Post” for the URL to be sent to the logo/background URL.

    2. what’s the URL ?

    thanks

    Yes, I have tried to upload images with media library, url and files from my computer. When I click on the button to upload the pop up box goes white and then freezes. It won’t let me close so I have to refresh my dashboard. This happens for both logo and background images.

    It is in construction mode.

    I will send you wp-admin through your private email, if you request.

    Thank you

    Please, help! I have not received a reply to my issue.

    I still cannot upload an image into the logo or background. When I go to the media library and click on the image I want, it acts like it will upload but then the box goes white and freezes.

    Is there a trick to doing this? Does it need to be a certain size? Should it be out of Construction Mode first? Seems like it should be a simple upload.

    Please, respond. Thank you, Jillian

    can you try just pasting the URL of the image in the background textbox ?

    It still does not work. I insert the url and it takes me to the media library. I click “insert to post” and the button does not work.

    I’ve tried all 3 ways with both logo and background with the same (non)-results.

    Based on this description, there’s probably a javascript error in your WordPress dashboard, go to the page, and inspect element and check for JS errors, identify and fix them and that should resolve this issue.

    Please clarify what page to go to? The “Under Construction” Page? I am not a tech person so I wouldn’t know what a JS error looks like or how to fix them?

    Also, I had asked about the font colors not changing after I set them to a different color. They are still white and in the plugin I have them set to the same color purple as the social icons.

    I am looking at the live page in the inspect element (hopefully, this is what you were talking about) and for the background image (which is blank in your plugin) it says :
    background-image: url(https://www.jilliankerry.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-construction-mode/inc/img/bg_pattern.png);

    no i was referring to the settings page where you said you are having issues setting the bg image

    if you’re not familiar with code, this will be difficult to troubleshoot, since we cant see what you’re describing, merely taking guesses based on your input. Also, the error could be the result of many things, could be conflict with another plugin, or a JS error generated somewhere else that’s preventing the plugin’s JS to run properly or many other things

    it could also be a cache issue, clearing cache might be something you want to try fixing.

    thank you

    I clear the cache frequently, and have done so a few times since installing.

    I really don’t know how to fix these issues, and havent’ had issues with other plugins, since there is not a solution that I can apply to fix the issues, it looks like I’ll have to find another one
