Hi! Great plugin. It successfully synchronizes my Buddypress groups to civiCRM. So far my groups list is short (about a dozen) but I have many more to add as I continue development for a church website upgrade (about 50-60 groups when complete).

I have not found a mechanism to synchronize from civiCRM to the related Buddypress groups. Can you assist me with this?

Also, the OG Sync does not seem to work in WordPress – I’m assuming it’s because that functionality is from the initial Drupal port. Is this where the missing civi=>buddypress sync should be?

@drhanson many apologies for the late reply – I somehow managed to overlook adding the RSS feed for this plugin to my reader.

What exactly are you trying to sync from CiviCRM to BuddyPress? Memberships ought to be synced both ways. Bear in mind that a contact added to the “ACL” group becomes a BP group admin, whilst a contact added to the “Mailing List” group becomes a basic member of the BP group.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by “Also, the OG Sync does not seem to work in WordPress” please? As above, what is it that isn’t syncing for you?

    Cheers, Christian

One quick question for you – are you using CiviCRM 4.6 or a prior version? If you’re on 4.5 or earlier, you’ll have to override the WordPress.php hooks file in CiviCRM, following the instructions I link to here:
