Is WordPress 2.2.1 memory greedy or is it just me?

  • After fiddling around with my plug-ins a little, I realise that after upgrading to WordPress 2.2.1, I frequently get “memory exhausted” errors like the one I faced when I was upgrading – even for the blogs that I didn’t add any plugins, I got errors when I uploaded images!

    So is it that WordPress 2.2.1 is memory hungry… or is it just me? Anyone out there facing similar challenges? Well, we can always go in and tweak the code to increase the memory limit, but its not a good practice… and the thing is, I used to load tonnes of more plugins, and there weren’t memory issues like this before.

  • Just because you haven’t seen them doesn’t mean they haven’t been there. ??

    I actually lean more towards php myself. WP isn’t the only program where this is occuring.
