caching interferes with blog pagination

I just set up WordFence on a new site. (Very nice plugin!) When I enable the first level of caching (2-3 x speed increase), my blog page pagination starts returning 404’s. When I turn off caching, it works again. (The caching is off at this point — it’s a client site.) I did go through the debug — turning off all plugins, etc., and narrowed it to this setting. The site is https://www.therapyworksoflosgatos.com. It’s WP 4.1.1, Genesis Framework, Outreach theme, 18 plugins (all up to date). I don’t need a solution at this point; this is just an FYI.
