So I have an idea and was wondering if it was possible with Badge OS….

I am involved in a camp for kids (https://www.finlaypark.co.nz) and was wondering if we could integrate the real world and virtual worlds together for badge achievements. Idea is that as kids complete an activity in the real world they get an achievement badge on the web site… Initial thoughts were
? unique tokens for each activity, when you complete an activity you get a token that you then enter on the web site, but the cost of producing was too high
? Kids scan a QR code with their phone after an activity, but kids not allowed phones at camp and cell phone coverage at camp is “spotty” at best

    So had another idea!
Kids each get a ID token (qrcode, barcode, number, something) and when they complete an activity a leader scans the code with a mobile app and the achievement is stored in WP (offline sync would be great also)…. If the person has logged in previously and matched up their code then their achievements then the achievement is stored… otherwise when the person creates an account and matches up the physical token their achievements they are available! Would be great to be able to see groups/camps and check all the achievements against each other….. you could compete with your mates to get the most activities…. Extreme badge group for all the extreme events!

So the answer is probably “not at the moment” but anyone have some skills that could get me there?

    v2
? Take a photo after each event completed and upload to show with the badge
    ? Facebook intergration

While not exact matches, I think all of this would be possible with our Activity Codes addon https://badgeos.org/downloads/activity-codes/

It’d be easy enough to physically copy down or print the activity codes on things, and then later on the kids could log in from a computer kiosk or computer lab and enter in the codes to award the associated achievements.
