I’m using Meta Slider in the Responsive Mobile theme. During the fade from one picture to the next, the picture jumps momentarily one pixel or so to the left, then back to the right.

My browser is Firefox/Mac and it’s up to date. In Safari, the problem isn’t there.

Based on some previous support questions of a similar nature, I’ve tried changing the dimensions of the slideshow, but this hasn’t helped.

The photos themselves are mostly 700×525. I’ve tried making the slideshow 700×525. I’ve tried 510×383, which is the size that the theme gives it at most screen widths. I’ve tried making it a couple of px smaller or larger than that. No matter what, it still jumps during fade.

    Hi there,

Do you have a link to your slider?

    Thanks,
    Dave

    Thanks for the link.

Just checked in Firefox (36.0.1 Mac) and I’m unable to see any shift. Checked in various browser widths but all seems to be as expected.

Are you still able to reproduce the issue?

    Thanks,
    Dave

Yes, it’s still doing it on my browser (Mac firefox 35.0.1). Other than making a video, I’m not sure how to demo it.

I updated to firefox 36.0.1 and the problem is gone now.

I’m still seeing a slight shift when fading:

I see it in the latest versions of Chrome and Firefox.

    It’s only a few pixels.

Yours is worse, actually. Not only does the slideshow shift, but the content under it shifts too, at least for some of the pictures.

Yes, that’s what’s noticeable – the whole content shifts as you’re reading it.
