    Hello,

    I just ‘UN-mapped” my domain

    https://www.quietramblings.com

    from my wp.cpm blog
    https://www.quietramblingsdotcom.wordpress.com

I want to use my self-hosted site again. I checked the whois.com
    https://www.whois.com/whois/quietramblings.com

it says that my site is back with Hostgator. I spoke with hostgator they say it is propagating properly. However, I am getting this error message and want to make sure everything is fine.

When I cancelled the domain mapping from wp.com I didn’t get an email to confirm cancellation (not sure if i was supposed to rcv one or not)

Long story short. Is the domain mapping cancelled and why does this message keep appearing when I goto my quietramblings.com

Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.

  • Looks like you just recently changed the nameserver settings for your domain name – and those can take from a day to a few days to take effect. So probably, you’ll have to just be patient. Check in a few hours.

    Actually, I see a self-hosted site here:

ok. so it was done properly and it still in the setting up process? correct, I just returned the nameservers back to hostgator, my apologies, forgot to mention that.

I did clear my cache and cookies (several times, just to be sure)

just wanted to make sure I didn’t mess it up or anything. That message

Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.

really had me nervous, because it is cancelled

I don’t get that, but if you want to make sure it’s all okay, you need to ask on the WordPress.COM forums about that part of it.
