Not all themes support using a shortcode in a widget.

I recommend the Black Studio TinyMCE widget plugin. This will give you a visual editor widget and the shortcode should work there.

Or you can try adding add_filter('widget_text', 'do_shortcode'); to the functions.php file of a child theme

Sorry it wasn’t in a widget, I just wanted to place it on a page. Is this possible?

When I click on the link you provided I see the events displaying. Were you able to resolve this in a page or are you using a widget?

I ended up finding “The Events Calendar Shortcode” plugin, and it worked perfectly.
