    Jetpack Mechanic ??

That’s not possible at the moment, but that’s a good suggestion! I took note of it here, and we’ll consider adding this option in a future Jetpack update.

I’ll post again here as soon as we have some news.

Just some input – I found this thread as I was searching for a solution. Many of my clients with WP blogs integrated with their business sites are not happy that I can’t get the logo to represent them in the email notifications to subscribers when a new post is published.
This singular issue is the basis for them to request that I move away from the problem (Jetpack) and to another plugin even though everything else is working great. I am currently searching for another plugin with a similar functionality as Jetpack.
I have the Avatar set properly in the Reading settings and the favicon for the WP theme and everywhere else under the sun. There is nothing but frustration brewing when the branding for the site is thrown off by the wrong avatar in the blog notification emails.

    Hi,
I have come here for the same issue. Are you seriously saying that the techy guys at WordPress hadn’t actually realised that people and businesses with a website might actually want to send out emails with their own logo at the head? Instead we get a strange box with some jagged squiggles in. Just weird.

    Hello again,
I have been searching around to look into this issue and I just wanted to come back and say I can’t believe the utter confusion that this logo/icon/gravatar issue seems to be causing amongst other WordPress users.
I began wondering why my readers get a box of squiggles as a logo from my post subscriptions, but I’m now wondering if they do get the same image, or do they get something else based on their own preferences and email address? This is all just too weird; why are you doing this to us? Surely our website posts should just be delivered as subscription emails by Jetpack bearing a logo or image we have selected ourselves from our own image gallery.

It’s worth noting that you can customize the image appearing on the top left of the email, and use your log there. That image is the Gravatar of the post author, so to change it you’ll need to change the Gravatar associated with the email address of the post author.

You can find out more about Gravatars here:
