Paypal Gateway Stopped Working

    So I’ve been working on a release of an updated website using MarketPress Lite (have updated to 2.9.5.6) and when I changed API credentials from my Sandbox API Credentials to my friends Live API Credentials (and changed over from Sandbox to Live) the process stopped working. When I get to the Payment Information step of checkout, the page is blank with a Continue Checkout button. If I click that button, I get the following error:

    There was a problem connecting to PayPal to setup your purchase. Please try again.

    There is no additional information — no error code or descriptive text. I’ve searched online and saw several post related to this, but most describe additional codes/text.

    So, I changed to API back to my Sandbox credentials and tested with the same results. We had not tested the checkout function of the website since October and at the time everything worked fine in Sandbox mode with my API Credentials.

    Out of curiosity, I checked my webstore (running on a separate installation of WordPress, and using a paid version) and found that it is not working either. So now I have 2 separate installations of Marketpress and neither will connect to PayPal.

    Any suggestions or ideas what may be causing this issue would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi there @designsbybrandon,

    I hope you’re doing well today! Thanks for posting about this. I see you’ve emailed in regarding this and another matter so I’ll mention a bit there then post back here on it.

    But really quickly, if you could please ensure you’re using Live credentials for the Live mode, that would help us to know if that’s the issue.

    I have checked and double checked the credentials on both sites. I am using live credentials on both. I changed to sandbox credentials and still had the issue. The site running the full MarketPress was working and processed payments, but is no longer working. The other site worked in sandbox mode, then did not when I change to live API credentials, and now will not work with the sandbox credentials either.
