I did it via : Dashboard > Appearance > editor. but now I can’t log into dashboard!
Yes. At the moment your WordPress dashboard will not work. You have to get to that damaged functions.php
file outiside of the WordPress dashboard. Your WordPress dashboard is broken till you fix that file.
Once again. ??
- Using FTP or whatever file management tools your host has provided you with navigate to the
/home/content/p3pnexwpnas03_data02/18/2320918/html/wp-content/themes/listify-child/
directory.
- Once there locate and rename the
functions.php
file to functions.php-old
. Just that one file and nothing else.
- Try and re-login to your WordPress dashboard.
If you do not have the file access (this does not need a working WordPress dashboard) then perhaps your host provider can assist you.
It’s a quick fix but you need file management outside of WordPress to do it. If you don’t have that level of access then your host provider may be able to assist you.
