Upgrade not finding Correct Database Tables

Just upgraded to 2.2 and got the Hello World post instead of my posts. I have investigated and found that my db tables start with something different than wp_ and so I have a list of files with wp_ and a list with ajones_

My previous data are in the tables with the ajones_ filenames but the blog software is looking at the wp_ tables. I could go in and change all the filenames but I know it worked before the update so I know it was something in the update that screwed up. There has to be a simple way to make sure the wordpress install points to the right database tables.
