PRO Kill My Images and Theme Widgets

It began with error 503. Then noticed after upgrading to PRO on another site – my images and Custom Fields began to disappear form use and view.

Removed PRO and installed Lite and the problem resolved…..HOWEVER tons of my images have disappeared from listings and much of the Custom Fields deleted from existing listings.

How do I recover these? Have tried restoring db to no avail.

On one installation the entire site crashed and I have had to re-install WP. I will not be installing PRO until this bug is fixed.

Am thinking that the sitemap setting is the culprit. Have sent a ticket and know you respond well.

Your help would be very much appreciated?

Quick Cache (Lite or Pro) does not do anything with the database that would result in a loss of any type. I’ve never heard of Custom Fields or images disappearing after installing Quick Cache. It’s more likely related to database corruption or something else going awry. It sounds to me like it was a coincidence that something was lost after installing Quick Cache.

The 503 error indicates that you likely have some security software on your web server (such as ModSecurity) that was blocking requests for some reason. You may want to talk to your web host about that and ask them to look at the server logs.

I’m closing this request here in favor of the ticket you opened, as we’re not allowed to provide Pro support here on the www.remarpro.com Forums.

I am still checking on the cause including testing on a test test installation, which I will come back to you with any relevant results.

You may also be right on your initial assessment.

Yes do close this – I am happy with the support you are giving on PRO! I will come back in due course.
