Suddenly Everything went to S____

  • I was cruising along fine. I made new home page (with slider) and a new beetles page (with slider). Everything worked beautifully – I put the pages through google page speed and mobile-friendly test and got 100/100 for both desktop and mobile “Awesome this site is mobile-friendly!”

    But here’s the kicker – the pages work fine but all of a sudden page speed gives me 53/100 for desktop and 46/100 for mobile. Problems include:
    Optimize images
    Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content
    Prioritize visible content
    Reduce server response time
    Leverage browser caching
    Minify CSS

    It’s like someone flipped a switch and all my hard work and hopes went up in smoke:(
    I did not have any plugins activated.
