• I do not know if anyone has already asked this question or if it is the correct place to ask, please excuse me if it has been asked or is not the right place. I don’t see a way to search to see if topic posted only the entire WordPress search box.

I am having issues with sticky posts not sticking. I have tried changing an existing post to sticky as well as trying to make a brand new post sticky but for some reason they are not sticking.

I only want one sticky post but how do I get it to work or why is it not working.

Could it be a theme problem, I have tried in 2 different themes with same results.

    Thanks in advance

    Greg

Excuse the basic question, but you are clicking the ‘update’ button after setting the sticky check-box, correct? And you’ve tried both ways: quick-edit, and ‘visibility’ settings on the individual post-edit page? Also, are these regular posts and not custom post types?

It’s possible that it could be a theme problem. Have you tried with the WP default theme? It could also (more likely) be a plugin mucking things up. Try disabling all plugins and see how it goes. One last thought is to make sure to clear any caches (browser and/or plugin) to make sure you’re getting a fresh view.
