• I am building an e-commerce site* which needs to have a very good
shopping cart and check out. The checkout needs to have the of weight
of the order, the ship to address, the ability to calculate USPS
shipping to ship to address from our address and the ability to select a USPS shipping option. Plus send tracking info to buyer and saved in order. And
probably other things I am forgetting.

I do not want the situation where our orders are gathered by a
shipwire type company for processing etc etc. It is to slow, to
inefficient and appears less than professional to buyers.

I intended to use woocommerce but all I come up with is pretty weak.

Is there a way to do what I want?

    * I am using Hostgator, WordPress, Genesis Frame, Genesis Agency Pro Child theme. I have woocommerce installed as well as several other plugins.

Is there a good tutorial on adding a really good e-commerce capability to a WordPress site?

    Thanks

WooThemes and some other 3rd parties offer USPS shipping extensions. WooThemes also have a shipment tracking extension for sending tracking info to customers.

If you want something more automated, there is a Stamps.com extension for generating USPS labels.
