    Hi Cliff,

    Yes, you can add custom posts to smooth slider. To do that please follow below procedure,

    1. Create one custom slider from Smooth Slider => Sliders => Create New Slider.

    2. Now go to edit section of Custom post, which you want to add to your slider.

    3. Below edit section, Meta box of Smooth Slider is there, Find option “Add this post/page to” check that option and select your slider name and update post.

    4. Your custom post will get added to slider

    So you can’t create a recent slider as Cliff had suggested with the latest 10 posts from a custom post type – you can only add them manually?

    Yes, You can only add custom post types manually.

    You can create Recent Post Slider with WordPress Posts. Use shortcode [smoothrecent]
