    Hi,

please make it possible that the admin of a blog can delete a follower!
Sure, everybody can delete or change the subscription for themselves… but sometimes there are people who want the admin to do this job – and this is not yet possible with Jetpack Subscriptions!

Please also make it possible that the blog admin can delete followers who subscribed to posts (comments subscription/notification).

thank you so much for considering!!!

    Hello

I do like the jet pack subscription service, its a great little plugin, the issue is as many have pointed out if you cant stop anyone reading your emails its not that useful. I am setting up a subscription service, but if a member cancels, then they still get to read the stuff i write, which is not something i want. I cant use Jet pack subscriptions as it is, for the simple reason i dont have any control who gets to read my stuff.

So i would like to ask, does any know of an alternative plugin, paid or not that i can use that does the same job as Jetpack, or is there a developer that can modify Jetpack, i am willing to pay

I think others would pay for this plugin if you can control who reads your emails, such as those that offer a subscription service

Well looking at this old thread having control of the emails list has been an issue for nearly 3 years and still no remedy, says it all to me, i wont be holding my breadth

Its a good job this is not a paid plugin as the service is poor.I wont be using it, as i don’t have control of the email mail list, such a shame as a great plugin

That’s indeed not how Jetpack was designed. It’s meant as a subscription service for public sites. We won’t send out any emails about private posts, for example.

If you want to send subscription emails from a private site, or about private content, to specific members, you’re better off using a membership plugin that offers an email delivery option. This post offers a good overview of the different plugins available:

    Thanks for the reply

My content is protected already, but i wanted to setup something for members to get an email when there is a new post on a page

However if a member cancels i cant take the current member from the list with Jetpack, Jetpack works really well, it sends an email straight away and its a simple case for a member to fill in their email

They get an email when there is a new post for any page they subscribe to

The issue is if the member cancels, they still get an email for any new post, regardless if they are a member or not, i tried it already

So if Jetpack wont allow me to delete the member, then i cant use, it, i would pay for the plugin its a great tool i just need to have access to delete a member, thats all, as i dont want non paying members to see my content, they can still read the email even if they cant get into the site

Thanks for the link, i am lookign at other options, i am even lookign at a developer to build something as i cant allow non members to continue seeing my content

That makes sense. I believe some of the options in the post I linked to earlier offer email subscriptions as well.

if Jetpack wont allow me to delete the member, then i cant use it

Right now, you won’t be able to use Jetpack Subscriptions I’m afraid. We might add the option to remove followers in the future, but we’ll need to find a way to notify the subscribers first. As a subscriber, you wouldn’t want to be removed and not know about it ??
