• I completed the upgrade today, following the detailed upgrade instructions to the letter, and encountered the following error once I logged back into my dashboard:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: get_private_posts_cap_sql() in /hsphere/local/home/(name)/(site)/wp-admin/index.php on line 64

Not sure where I went wrong, or what this error is all about, exactly. I did a quick skim of the support forums and couldn’t find this error mentioned anywhere, so I thought I’d ask about it. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks! ??

  • Usually, after an upgrade, when you encounter an undefined function error, the problem is a result of one or more files not being uploaded correctly to your host.

In this case, it indicates that wp-includes/post.php may not be a completely intact file on your host server.

So upload that file at least. If you get more errors, consider reuploading all the files.

    Hi,

I just updated one of my sites to WP 2.2.2 and I’ve got the same problem as described above.

I tried reuploading post.php and this has made no difference.

I then uploaded all the wp-include files and then ran the upgrade script again. This seemed to fix the issue.
