• Hi everyone,

Let me start out by saying I have searched this issue for over a month with no luck, and as my last exhaustive attempt to rectify this, I will seek upon your advice.

I am having the common issue of not being able to upload media.
I went to modify my upload settings, and there is nothing to change (and, yes, I am logged in as an admin): https://oi59.tinypic.com/sw7akm.jpg. As you can see, under the media settings, I cannot change anything.

Here is what I cannot do that I need to do (and note I am using Plesk for what it counts):
    1. I want to be able to upload media again.
    2. I want to be able to decrypt and restore my backups, but there is a permissions issue there and a forum topic said to modify permissions of backup folder (which for some reason, that particular folder is one it will not let me change permissions).
    3. I want to be able to modify the files within the editor again.
    4. Want to be able to update WordPress and plugins, but error is: Destination directory for file streaming does not exist or is not writable.

With that being said, I had wp-content at 777 with no luck. Changed it to 755 with no luck. No idea how to easily apply permissions recurisvely with Plesk. NOTE: My account will not allow me to edit permissions via an FTP client. I battled my host on this for the longest time, and it went nowhere.

I have tried this trick define( ‘WP_TEMP_DIR’ , ABSPATH . ‘wp-content/’ ); with the tmp folder with no luck, also. I have contacted my host also with no luck.

I’m trying to follow this solution, but I cannot because I cannot see the upload settings anymore as you can see in the tinypic picture. Please help.

I am sorry to double post, but this will save time.
My upload path via the options.php page is wp-content/uploads
