• There’s something very strange going on. I’m on a mac using Safari and I log into wordpress and upload an image onto my home page. Sure enough there it is. When I go onto a PC with Windows and IE the image is gone.

    ON A MAC:
If I log onto WordPress and check out the Links section in Manage Uploads the Thumbnail linked to file looks like this: “<img src=’https://www.forgemastersfilms.com/wp-content/bannerone.thumbnail.gif&#8217; title=’bannerone’ alt=’bannerone’ />“

    ON A PC:
If I log on and go to exactly the same page I get this address instead: “”<!– –>

I’m sure this is something to do with it, how can it be that the same wordpress account has different information on 2 computers for the same file? All my other images work correctly, and the image is a .gif, so it should work.

    Isn’t this bizarre?

I’ve sorted this, I still find it illogical though. Perhaps it’s something to do with the images having the word “banner” in their title, or perhaps it was something to do with them being exported (as .jpg’s) from Fireworks. It happened with a second image too. Anyway I used photoshop instead, resized the image slightly and gave it a new name. It works. When computers stop being logical what do we have then? Sex I suppose.

Your example has single quotes around the attributes rather than the required double quotes. Are you sure the problem’s nothing to do with that?
