Text disappears from text modules after saving in Divi theme

  • When I type in a text module and then save, it shows up in the preview of the page. But when I go back and open the text module it is empty. I also opened up the text modules of previously published pages and the text modules all appear empty.

    I disabled all my plugins and there was no change. I am not sure how to proceed at this point. I have the latest updates for Divi and WordPress.

    No help back from the Elegant themes support so I thought I might try here.

    Meanwhile, to rule out any theme-specific issue, try switching to the default Twenty Fifteen theme for a moment.
