Hello Maeve, or anyone else that might be able to help…

When I try to activate the PayPal Responder plugin, I get an error message saying:

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function curl_init() in /var/www/wp-content/plugins/paypal-responder/ipn.php on line 61

I’m running the latest version of WordPress (4.1) and downloaded the latest version of the plugin (1.2). I’ve tried deactivating all of my other plugins but still got the same response.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Many thanks,
    Tim.

I think that this error message is being caused because you do not have curl module on your server. It’s not an error in the plugin, it’s a script library that you need to be running on your server.

Wonderful, thanks so much for this Maeve, particularly as it was a problem at my end and not yours.

Enabling CURL on my server fixed it. Assuming the free version works as I hope then I’ll be buying Pro version shortly.

    Thanks again,
    Tim.
