What happens when a user is deleted?

    What happens when a user is deleted an none of their content is attributed to another user?

    What gets deleted?

    The reason I ask is because this just happened to me and some pages were put in the trash – in order for me to get them back I restored them and re-published them.

    I was wondering what else gets “thrown out” so I can recover it?

  • If you selected to attribute the users content to another user it should have just moved over all posts and pages to the remaining user. I’m not sure why some pages went to the trash. The posts and pages created by the user you delete are the only things that will be deleted, or assigned to a new user. Any comments from that user will actually stay the same, still attributed to the deleted user.

    I actually did not move anything over to another user.

    I was able to go into the trash and restore the pages to a new user and everything started working again.
