Using different archive templates for different categories

  • OK, let me explain what I’m trying to do. I’m using the Post Templates by Category plug-in to make posts from different categories use different templates, but now I want my archives for those categories to also use different templates. My setup is to use the get_archives template tag to list the months in a sidebar next to the post. Ideally, the reader would click the month and get a list of posts in the current category. It’s working fine except for the “current category” bit. Oh, I’m currently using archive.php as my template for the archive page.

  • The equivalent of single-cat-15.php (when using Post Templates by Category plug-in for archives (this is built in, not via the plugin) is category-15.php.

    Guffia, I’m facing the same issue. Did you manage to solve it? Or anybody who can help with it?
