[pagelist_ext] showing 2nd level pages??

  • I’m trying to build a SILO with the top page or level one [pagelist_ext]

    Then the sub pages [pagelist_ext]

    Down to the third tier

    Problem is my top or level 1 page is showing level 2 and 3

    I’ve tried: child_of=”current” or child_of=”page_number”

    I only want the [pagelist_ext] to display one level below and nothing else, no siblings etc..

    We’ve found a couple more sites having the same problem or we are doing something wrong?

    The shortcodes page says this:
    [pagelist_ext] – by default shows list of subpages to current page; but if there is no subpages than all pages will be shown;

    Sub-pages are showing but so are all the other pages?

    IF we use [pagelist_ext] for a subpage is that causing the problem?

    I added the “parent” and it appears to have fixed the problem but we’ve never had to do that before has something changed?

    [pagelist_ext] has shown all pages until we create a sub-page and the other pages don’t show anymore?

    But the last couple sites we’ve had to use the “parent” setting?

    Try: [pagelist_ext child_of=”44″ parent=”44″] if you want to show subpages of the page with ID=”44″ and only 1 level depth.

    I did not changed the logic of the plugin in the last update.

    And all seems to be ok now, I’ll report any other problems.

    FYI: the exclude pages widget hasn’t been updated in years… any chance you could fork it and add to your plugin?
