Translation file not working?

First of all, if you want to translate the plugin, I encourage you to do so by using Transifex (Awesome Support is on Transifex here).

This has two advantages:

1. Translating is easy
2. You translation can be added to the plugin in production

Regarding the issue you’re having, I think you should prefix your translation file with wpas- (eg. wpas-de_DE).

i allready named them wpas-de_DE , no effect. The Plugin is still in english. for some reason the language files are getting ignored by the plugin.

I allready requested german on transifex last month but it seems that nobody accepted the request, however i cant join the group for german cause its still a request.

Humm I haven’t seen any request on Transifex. We’ll double check to make sure we didn’t miss a notification.

Regarding the issue I will look into it and check if there is a bug somewhere.

When i check your transifex page i see 14 language request including my request for german.

Allready translated over 40% to german, tested the Language File from Transifex but its still not working. The Plugin is still in english ??

Hey, i nearly finished the German Translation and would be glad to finaly use it ?? Any Ideas why the translation file is not working. Did u had time to test this issue? I would really appreciate a fix for this ??

Good news: the translations problem is now fixed. I pushed it to master and it will be included in next version (3.1.3). We will release it this week. See f3949f1 for reference.

Weird. We’ve fixed that in version 3.1.3. Can you confirm that you have added wpas-de_DE.mo to the /languages directory of the plugin?

just to let you know: Yesterday I uploaded the german language files to the plugin-directory, and it didn’t work. Today I tryed it again – wpas-de_DE.po and wpas-de_DE.mo – and now it is working. I don’t know why it started to work suddenly, but it’s working now. Maybe it is more a thing of wordpress and how it does recognize new language files. But to behonest, I am not an expert.

Just wanted to say – It is working, but I am not sure why (now).

Confirm that, i just reuploaded the wpas-de_DE.mo file to the languages directory and its working now. but since i translated the german translation file i know that there are many text parts, mainly in the backend that are not translated for some reason, but i know i translated then on in the file..
