I checked my website today and the home page is completely gone. I do not recall making any changes that would cause this to go away but now it’s showing a page that I have never even seen before. Has anyone else had this issue? Could this be due to the 1.8 version update?

  • Go to appearance > customize > static front page > select “Your latest posts”. I hope this helps.

No it didn’t fix it. The home page looks better until you go to another page then back. Also the blog disappears from the page it was on when you change to latest posts. This all started with the update. Waiting til tomorrow for the new update, hopefully someone is all over this

I have the same problem – my Enigma Home page dissapeared when I updated into the 1.8.

Hope this will be fixed soon!

I have the same problem aswell. After 1.8 update the whole frontpage with slide, services portfolio is all gone. I am about to buy this theme and hope u fix it very soon plz

    Hi all..

First thing this is not a bug. Just go to theme-options – > general setting – > custom front page – > enable this setting.

    Save the options.

Also confirm no changes done in the reading setting.

    Thanks

    Hi there,

I can confirm I’m having the same problem since the update. The only way I can get the Enigma created Home Page to display is to go to Settings -> Reading Setting -> Front page displays -> “Your latest posts”

    Cheers,

    Dennis.

I tried that aswell, but it still wont work ty though ??

Allright there we go now it works fine.

changed it to your latest post and this fixes it. It’s weird why that would change from static front page without any notice.

changing the reading settings “you latest posts” worked for me also, but if you go from another page back to home you’ll have the same issue.

I tried the fix mentioned here ” theme-options – > general setting – > custom front page – > enable this setting.” It did not work for me. I just reset to default settings and blew my home page away, tried from scratch, same issue.

    I must be missing something?

The only thing I can see is the address changed when you go from another page on your site. It goesfrom “mywebpage.com” to “mywebpage.com/home” then you loose the home page again. permalink issue?

    blog doesn’t work now.

Mike, your site still isn’t working either…

Just tried making a new menu, fixed the link issues going back to the index page but still have the same home page issue.

This update came at a bad time for me. I’m potentially loosing sponsors who are looking at this page now to learn about the non profit I did this for.

Too bad too this seemed to be a great theme. Thinking I’ll have to blow it away and start over.

Yeah the only way the page looks presentable is to do set home page to latest post but you loose the blog.

Same here. This is a really big issue for us. I would be happy to pay for a resolution if required. We curate content from 15 other industry blogs via RSS Importer and use Feed Burner with Hootsuite to push out the updates to social media. Our Blog is the only reason we have a website at all. Previously we had a static page with slideshow and the cool blog posts at the bottom rotating in on our front page as well as a blog page. Now with the same settings the static page is gone OR we enable Your latest posts THEN the Blog is gone. The only option for us at this point is to move to another theme or rework the Static Page for the moment. https://albrightit.com/ https://albrightit.com/blog

The Blog is more important so for the time being we will rework the Static Page.

Love this theme. Has anyone tried upgrading to Premium? Does the bug exist there also?
