  • im pretty sure proper urls cannot contain commas.

    after checking here: https://gbiv.com/protocols/uri/rfc/rfc3986.html#examples

    apparantly commas are allowed.

    So, what the solution?

Weird. I didn’t think commas were allowed either. Thanks for the link whooami.

In looking over that documentation, though, it says that commas can be used to delimit parameter subcomponents. So I’m not sure that a comma would be valid in the way that UnSeCuReD is trying to use it in the middle of a hierarchical subcomponent.

UnSeCuReD — have you considered using dashes?

Ironically. not long after reading that page, I came across urls w/ comments in them – the sla.ckers.org forums. ??

So I had to go out and look at sla.ckers.org and see for myself.

All of the urls with commas in them that I saw had the commas as part of a parameter passed after a ? and so not part of the hierarchy of the link.

I still don’t think they can be used like UnSeCuReD wants to use them.

yeap, i was just surprised that theyre usable at all ??
