    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

Can you please explain what search you are refering to here? The regular WordPress search or the search field right above the table?

In the first case, you’d probably have to add such highlighting manually, e.g. by hooking into the tablepress_cell_content filter hooks and then looking for the search terms again.

    Tobias

    Hi Tobias

Thank you very much for your prompt reply.

Sorry I should have clarified that. I am referring to the search filed directly above the table for filtering. I was wondering if there is some custom CSS to highlight results that match the text entered into the search field. Can this be done?

    Kind Regards

    Hi Vincent,

thanks for the clarification. Now I see what you mean. Unfortunately, I’m not aware of a solution for that, you’d have to check the documentation of the DataTables JS library from https://datatables.net/ as that’s the JS library that TablePress uses for the filtering.
Now, as the search only shows those rows that match the filter, isn’t that enough highlighting already?

    Tobias

    Hi Tobias

Thank for the lightning fast response ??

Okay, I will check out datatables.net and see if I can identify something.

I use tablepress for a non profit organisation that does community work. On any given day there could be as many as 15 – 20 people that have different duties. If my name was on the list for a day the filtering shows all people on the day who also have duties which includes my name.

That is the only reason I asked if my name or the name of the person searching was highlighted, it would just make it a bit easier.

But then, perhaps there is a additional filtering option that would only produce my name.

    Is there such a tweak?
    Kind Regards

    Vincent
