Customizr Update Links Opening In new tabs

It’s a new feature that should work for external urls..,
go through Appearance -> Customize … somewhere … -> Links .. ??

Thanks for responding, but all of my links are internal, I also tried toggling the setting on and off with no change. Something else is overriding my link settings.

I had the same problem and fixed it. Just go into Appearance->Customize in the dashboard. Under the Global Settings->Link Style and Effects you’ll see that the “Open External Links in a New Tab” is not checked. Check it, save changes, uncheck it, save changes again. That will fix it.

The same goes for that little external link icon option. By default, it is not checked but they appear anyway. Check, save, uncheck, save will fix it too.

yes, you’re right. Though isn’t really necessary to click on save between the check and the uncheck.. just Check, then Uncheck, then Save & Publish.
Or at least from my tests was enough.

He said he toggled to checked and then unchecked, and nothing changed. Could this be a cache related issue? That’s why I asked for his site url.

I have similar issue. Some external links have have icon some don’t. Although all open in new tab which is good.
Good example is this page natureheals.co.uk/about-Karla-Perentin/

I can see a few but 2 are missing

Second paragraph the icon is not there next to “Northern College of Acupuncture” and third from bottom next to “NAture Child”

both are external links opening in new tabs.

I’m guessing something to do with the way I’ve written the link or something.

The thing is that I cannot see the icons at all in that page.
Except for “contact Karla” each link should have that icon, right?

strange, apart from contact KArla, which is internal, the rest are external. but anyway, strange you cant see them, what browser?

Thanks d4z_c0nf it was some kind of bizzare cache issue, cleared it out and the links work. My next question is, what if that is happening to users on my site? I cannot clear their cache and all the extra tabs look bad.
